2025: A Year in Review

Happy Monday morning all!

This has been a long time coming since out year ended, but we wanted to make sure we could put together all of the fun we had into one giant write up to wrap our 2025 season.

This year, we participated in a total of 11 races, with a couple long distance ones thrown into the mix. We kicked off the season with a new front clip and a top 5 finish, setting a promising tone for the races to come.  Despite our initial success, we encountered significant challenges throughout the season: For half of the year, we struggled with overheating problems that hindered our performance on the track. We weren't able to completely diagnose the problem until the 4th time we had overheated the car and we were concerned for what the exposure had done. Upon taking the engine to a builder and having them checking it over, we found a crack in the head that was cause for all of the headache and heartbreak. While we had strong runs in the longer distance races, we ultimately fell short of achieving the finishes we aimed for. These races tested our mental and physical endurance, but some flat tires running inside the top 10 and unavoidable accidents did not reflect our efforts.

The absolute highlights of our year were the community events we were fortunate to be a part of. Our involvement in local events such as the Hinesburg and Williston Touch-a-Truck, as well as a Lake Monsters baseball game allowed us to connect with fans and promote the sport and our sponsors within the community. These events are critically important to us, as we try to let the next generation of fans understand a little more deeply how some of the more intricate things work on a car, and the processes we perform to make sure the car gets to the track week in and week out. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our community when they so much as get to sit in a race car is all the more reason why we do the things we do on and off the track.

Looking Ahead....

As we wrap up this season, we are grateful for the experiences we gained and the lessons we learned. This year was by far the toughest challenge we have faced, but the team remains committed to addressing the challenges we faced head on, and we look forward to returning stronger next year (in whatever car that may be!). With a renewed focus on overcoming technical issues and an exciting offseason ahead (welcoming a new member to the pit crew!), we aim to build on our successes and failures and strive for better results in the upcoming season.

This entire journey would not have been possible without out amazing partners:
