Casella Waste Management Night

Good afternoon all!

Here on a Monday after work, excited to write up about last Thursdays event, where we saw our decent speed continue for another night.

We rolled out of the trailer with some decent speed,. Though we we're not very close to the top of the charts, we felt we had a decent handle for 50 laps of feature racing. We rolled out P1 for the second heat race, and swiftly fell back to the final transfer spot of 5th, and headed straight

into the main with our handicap.

A 5th place finish had us starting outside pole for the feature event, where we fought hard on the top side of the track for around 30 laps until a caution saw us starting on the inside front row. We chose to run the bottom lane before they dropped the flag, and it proved to be disadvantageous, as the cars behind us quickly caught our car and made their way around on the outside. Once we had the opportunity to hop back in the top lane, we ran the rest of the race high, and brought the car home in one piece in 4th place! It wasn't until after the feature had concluded and the cars went through tech, that an infraction on the 3rd place car saw them ending with a DSQ, handing us a 3rd place finish for our first trophy of the year!

This Thursday, we're looking forward to the Governors Cup 150, where Xfinity Series Champion Cole Custer will be invading "The Nations Site of Excitement" to throw his name in the hat of NASCAR drivers to run laps at the high banks on Quarry Hill.

We're looking forward to the opportunity to race with someone of his stature, and hope we can keep our good runs going for another night of action.

Hope to see you all there!
