CCV Night and Double Features!

Good morning all,
Here for a couple week late post race write-up, where we saw double features one night, and took the week off July 3rd for a little reset. We had a mid-level speed car with new tires through the first two practices, and dodged some rain in the process. We still managed to hit the track around the regular post time nonetheless. We qualified 3rd in the first heat race and into the feature race we started 2nd. We experienced quite the setback after cutting a right front tire at some point during the 50 lap feature (coming off with 7.8 PSI left in the tire), but somehow finished the race in 13th place.

We started towards the back of the field in the 2nd feature and eventually overheated halfway through the caution-filled race, ending our night early. After a couple weeks of disappointment, we decided as a team to take a race off and reset, and really go through every bolt imaginable and every number imaginable to see if there was something we had been missing from the few previous races. We had the car loaded up early and ready to race tonight, but the race has been postponed to tomorrow due to more impending rain, something we seem to have been dodging all season long.
We're hoping for a better result tomorrow weather-wise and performance wise, and look forward to seeing you all there for a 7pm post time!
