Good race day morning all!
Here for the most exciting write-up so far, as this past Sunday we parked the car in victory lane!
We started out the day with a setup we had tried before but didn't have much luck with, and hit the track feeling much more comfortable. We were about mid pack in speed, but felt like we had a good car for the heat race. We started on the pole position for the feature, and raced a couple laps door to door before stretching our lead out to win the heat.
This qualified us into the feature, where we started outside pole, and quickly made our way around the leader by lap 7, and set sail at the front. We surrendered the lead after a good side by side battle with Governor Scott around lap 25, but never gave up, and charged back up the inside of his tight car through a couple of lapped cars, and took the lead back until lap 45, where back to back cautions flew. We managed to stay ahead on both late restarts, and wound up taking our first feature win in the Late Model, with only one small new blemish!

It was a good night of racing for our team and the track, and we look forward to trying to make it happen again for todays rescheduled race! Post time tonight is 7PM, where the Street Stocks have a double feature (with extended laps). We hope to see you all there supporting us!
