Rain rain go away...

Hey all!

Quick write-up this morning from last weeks rained out event.

We unloaded for practice with a different geometry in the front end of the car, hoping to gain some consistent speed from the last few weeks, instead of having a car that falls off after a few laps in the feature. We had some success, and remained in the top 5 on speed charts going into the heat race. This week was the first week for the handicap system, meaning the cars higher up in the standings would have to start in the back to even out the field. We started our heat 7th, and by the end had rode double file almost the whole 12 laps and finished 5th, qualifying us for the feature event.

Come feature time after the late models finished their 150 lap race, we saw ourselves starting 9th out of 29 cars. Lap one saw a caution when the lead car spun out and collected 5 cars against the wall. After the wreckage was cleared, we resumed at lap 1, and raced another 8 laps until the second caution came out, at that point, we had not moved up any spots, and mother nature took over and started to rain. It was just too much to continue, ending our night and forcing us to run double features TODAY on double points night.

An Early forecast saw rain all day and night and the race was postponed, but a sudden change in weather around 1 could have seen us racing, but it was already postponed and peoples plans had already changed.

The race today starts at 6:30pm, where the resumption of our feature from last week will take place immediately, followed by the regularly scheduled events on the night. For those who couldn't get tickets for the track, you can still watch on pay-per-view at NSNsports.net

We hope you all tune in and support our team!
