Good Afternoon all!
Today is race day, which means a write-up from last weeks action. We made a stop at a WMMP on Saturday, and had our regular Thursday night race at Thunder Road.
We had a fast car in practice, but fought with a little bit of looseness. We made an attempt to square that issue up, and started the heat 4th, and dropped all the way back to 7th at the end, meaning we would have to go to the consi. In the consi, we changed two tires and added some wedge to the car, and it made a world of difference. We started 7th and ended up 2nd after 12 laps. Come feature time, we lined up 9th in a field of 29 cars, and had to fight the whole race around the outside to pass cars. After a couple of cautions and reshuffles, we had made our way up to 3rd, and on a last few lap effort to make a pass for second and first, a car gave us a shot and moved us up the track and we finished the race in 4th place (but in one piece!).
We did some small work and adjustments to the car the following day, and loaded it right back up to head over to White Mountain Motorsports Park.
16 Tiger cars showed up for the star studded event, which also saw the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour pay a visit. Practices went quick, but from the first to third practice, we had made it to the top of the time charts.
We started 7th in the heat, and passed a couple cars to finish 5th, and qualify for the main feature, all while fighting a loose car yet again. We lined up 12th for the feature, and once again had to fight our way to the front on the high side, and wound up finishing 7th after our 44 laps was complete (In one piece again!).
Today's race is the first leg of the Myers Triple Crown Series, where we will be going 75 green flag laps door to door with our competetors. Post time is 7PM, and for those who did not buy tickets in time, they can still watch the race from the comfort of their home on NSNsports.net!
