Good afternoon all!
Doubling up once again on the write-ups, as the last two weeks have been nothing short of difficult for us.
During VT Construction Night, we had a decent car in practice and qualified through the heat, securing the last spot after a quirky caution. We made a small adjustment for the feature race, and after starting 5th we had a rocketship. We just needed the cars in front of us to sort themselves out so we could drive up through the field. 9 laps into the feature, we were involved in a spin due to contact from behind, damaging the car's nose and dropping the radiator shroud. This led to overheating, ending our night early. Despite the challenges, we were determined to regroup and come back stronger for the next race last night.

Come last night for the Governor's Cup, the car initially struggled during the first practice session, but after equipping new tires, its performance greatly improved, landing us in the top 10 on the speed charts. We started 10th and finished 3 positions ahead, with a feature start position of 7th out of 29 cars. During the feature race, we stayed competitive and engaged in some great battles, but a setback occurred when we cut down a right front tire, forcing us to pit under the green flag. Unfortunately, we couldn't return to the track until a caution. Once back, the car started overheating due to another caution not allowing air to circulate to the radiator, ending our night prematurely.
We'll have to take a couple of weeks off racing to fix the overheating issue, possibly with a motor rebuild, but we'll stay busy with community events like visiting the VT Lake Monsters on August 3rd and the Williston Touch-a-Truck on August 9th.
