Good morning all!
Here for a quick post race write-up from the last week of action, which saw us racing two features in one night (one better than the other).
The first feature of the night saw us starting P5, and some of the changes we had made through practice looked like they were going to help out until the caution flew. After the tires cooled, the car was just too loose, and we had to move to the top side of the track to have any chance of keeping up. Though we maintained more than anything, we had a few different side by side battles for numerous laps, and by the time the flag flew at lap 75, we had finished 11th.
Come the second feature, we had to start on the outside lane in P4, and though we tried to hold on the best we could, the car had no drive, and we dropped to the back in a hurry. We came in at the caution and made an adjustment, and fell victim to a spinning car a few laps after the green came back out, and broke the RF caliper and rotor, effectively ending our night.
The car has since been fixed, and the hope is to be at the track on Thursday, but we're unsure at this point if we'll race due to an injury that occurred while working on the car (hands are important to drive a race car).
That being said, we still have an action packed week coming up, with the Waterbury Car Show on Friday and Saturday with our car in attendance, as well as another race on Sunday. Post time for the two races are 7PM and 5PM respectively, and the car show will be an all day event for the ages!
Hope to see you all there!
