First Responders Night

Good afternoon all!

Here for our Thursday Night race write-up from all of the action on First Responders Night.

This was a very special night for all involved, as the first responders and state workers who have been working so hard to clean up our state after the flooding were allowed free entry. We wanted to make sure that we gave them the best show we could've.

This race was also added after all the schedule changes from SRX, so that meant we we're doing our first mix and match of the season with our tires, meaning we could really make sure we had them where we wanted them from the get go, and it made all the difference in the world for us!

We managed to be top ten in speed in both practices, and started in our heat, and ran away with a straightaway lead by the end, getting us our first flag of the year.

Come feature time, we got the chance to wrap up the night of racing, and started on the pole once again. At the drop of the green, the car was hooked up, and we were able to run away with the lead while the people behind us battled hard. We had one caution with about 15 to go that put a car back to our outside, but drove back away until the checkered flag flew and we won our first race of the season!

It's no secret that we've struggled heavily this year, so this type of run is exactly what we had needed for our team, but none of this would've been possible without the support of our fans and awesome sponsors you can find on the Sponsor page of our website.

The next race on the schedule is the Governors Cup 150 next Thusrday, followed by a rescheduled Prestons Kia Night on Sunday from the 4th of July rain out.

We look forward to seeing you all there for some more high intensity door to door action!
