July 4th and Jack Daniels Night

Good Monday morning all!

Here for the write-up from this week, which saw two races in 4 days!

We'll start with Thursday July 4th, which saw a hot night with great fireworks when all was said and done. We made some small adjustments on the car throughout the day, and got it pretty decent for our heat. We started on the pole, and the high line proved to be the better, but we still managed to finish 2nd, qualifying into the feature on the night on the pole.

We ran inside the top 5 for the entire race, falling back to 4th at worst, but worked our way back on the high side into 3rd on a mid race restart, and got our second podium finish on the year when the checkered flag flew!

Fast forwarding to Sunday the 7th, we made some small changes to the car to get some better long run speed, and it proved to be the wrong decision, as we quickly put ourselves in the wall in the heat and had to try and qualify in through the consi.

We made it to one spot out of the final transfer to 6th place, and had to start in the tail end of the feature for the 100 laps. We once again fought an ill car, but it started to come into it as the race took place. We spun into the infield with around 30 to go, and came in for a quick adjustment, then went back out and raced our way into 10th by the end of it, giving us two top 10's on the week!

This coming week you'll see us racing on Thursday for the Governor's Cup 150, and come Sunday, we're excited to announce we'll have our car at the Vermont Lake Monsters game to celebrate champs birthday! We'll have autographs, candy, and yours truly will be singing the national anthem before the start of the game, so don't hesitate to stop on by!

Look to see you all Thursday night!
