Good afternoon all!
Here with some exciting news that most of you know by now if you follow our Facebook page...
We've been selected as one of the 10 extra semifinalists for the Kulwicki Driver Development Program, adding to the list of 15 from last year. For those who don't know what the program is:
"The Kulwicki Driver Development Program (KDDP) was established in 2014 by the family of late NASCAR Champion and Hall of Fame member Alan Kulwicki for the purpose of helping worthy driver toward reaching their dreams while at the same time keeping Alan's memory and legacy alive. The program provides drivers with financial assistance along with support in publicity, marketing, sponsorship development, industry networking and relationship building. Based in Concord, NC, the KDDP is a non-profit organization with the mission of playing a significant role in developing the next era of America's short track racers while educating new generations about the life, passion and values of the 1992 NASCAR Champion." Being a part of this program could provide our small, low-budget family team a potential boost in funds, and partner us with people who can help us with approaching new potential partners, and engaging in public relations with those sponsors and the fans who support us at the track every wee, all in the name of Alan.
On the March 22nd edition of Speed51.com's "The Morning Bullring", we will find out if we are selected to be one of the finalists who receives that boost our team needs to potentially break into the "big leagues."
Stay on the look for updates on that, as well as new or returning sponsors to come on board for our 2021 season. We've sent many feelers and proposals out, but have yet to see anything come to fruition.
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy as we try to make it over this bump in the road, and look forward to seeing you all at the track very, very soon!
